Inter Miami CF and FXE Futbol, LLC released video renderings of their Lockhart Stadium renovation proposals Friday, just hours before a 5 p.m. deadline imposed by the City of Fort Lauderdale. The city’s commission will consider both proposals, as well as any others offered before the deadline.
The FXE proposal was submitted at 2:11 p.m., per the organization. Along with the submission came a video showing a rendering of the development, including a stadium for a USL side. The video made a priority of the parkland that the FXE proposal would include.
Inter Miami, which submitted its proposal prior to today, also released a rendering video. Its video provided a closer look at the proposed stadium on the site, which would host a USL side, as well as the team’s youth academy.
The city will now take these plans (and any others for the Lockhart Stadium property that may have been submitted) under consideration. The city will also consider public comment before making a final decision. The next scheduled city commission meeting is March 5.
