The International Champions Cup, which annually brings the top clubs of Europe to the United States for friendlies, announced its host cities for the 2019 tournament Tuesday. Conspicuously absent was Miami.
Hard Rock Stadium, located in Miami Gardens, has hosted ICC games every year since its founding, except for two years when the stadium was under renovation (2015, 2016). Relevent Sports, which owns the tournament, was co-founded by Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium owner Stephen Ross.
For the first two years of the International Champions Cup, when a championship game was held, it was held at Hard Rock (then Sun Life Stadium). No comment was provided by Relevent Sports or the ICC as to why Miami was dropped from the rotation.

The “International Champions Cup” is a glorified friendly and a massive money grab. I will pass.
If you want to go those teams play meaningful games, take a week long trip to Europe, go catch a couple of games…
