FC Barcelona captain Lionel Messi will not fly to the Miami with his team to contest two friendlies with S.S.C. Napoli after sustaining a right calf strain.
Messi, the biggest of the star attractions in the Barça side, had just returned to the team on Monday when he picked up the injury.
The 26-man squad coming to the United States will include Luis Suárez, Philippe Coutinho, Ter Stegen, and new signing Antoine Griezmann from Atlético de Madrid, among others.
The first friendly of the series is scheduled to kick off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
