Four days after a scoreless draw against Atlanta United, Inter Miami CF again went 90 minutes without conceding or scoring a goal.
Nashville SC traveled to Inter Miami CF Stadium and withstood a hearty effort from the Herons, including two must-make opportunities for Julian Carranza and Rodolfo Pizarro.
The debut of French World Cup winner Blaise Matuidi did make some impact for Inter Miami, particularly early on, but the bright attacking play of the first 20 minutes appeared to be unsustainable.
Despite Miami’s advantage in possession, Nashville nearly snuck a goal to take the match in the 27th minute. Only though the efforts of goalkeeper Luis Robles and center back Nicolas Figal was the ball cleared off the line.
OFF THE LINE! Luis Robles and Nico Figal with goal-saving plays right there.
