A player from a Miami-Dade County team made the the Premier Development League’s “50 Players to Watch” list of top prospects. Kevin Coiffic, a defender who plays for FC Miami City, was recognized by the league as one of the up-and-coming players it has to offer.
“As we enter the 24th PDL season, we’re proud to highlight another class of incredible athletes competing this summer in our league,” PDL Co-Director Chris Madden said in a statement. “With talented individuals from top universities around the country joining their PDL clubs, we’re excited to watch these players compete and earn a spot on our PDL Top Prospects lists as they pursue their professional aspirations.”
Coiffic, who was born in France, served as captain of his Broward College team, earning third-team All-American honors from the NJCAA.
One other player from the PDL’s Southeast Division was recognized: midfielder Rafael Santos of SIMA Águilas.
