Next month, after the 2018 FIFA World Cup concludes in Russia, the eyes of the soccer world will turn to the International Champions Cup. Miami-Dade County will be hosting two men’s matches and the entirety of the women’s tournament. Before the main show, though, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are visiting Miami this month to tease their face-off at Hard Rock Stadium on July 28.
City’s mascot, Moonchester, and Bayern’s mascot, Berni, took in the sights at Marlins Park with Billy the Marlin on Thursday, as the Marlins hosted the San Francisco Giants.

On Friday, Manchester City’s Premier League and EFL Cup trophies will be shown around town, first visiting the Pérez Art Museum Miami from 11:30 am until 1 pm. Later in the evening, they’ll be heading to a rowdier crowd, visiting Fritz & Franz in Coral Gables from 5 pm until 7 pm.
Speaking of Fritz, Bayern will be co-hosting with Club America a watch party of Sunday’s Germany and Mexico World Cup match at the venerable German restaurant.
There will certainly be more activities when the teams return in July, but it’s a tasty appetizer for Citeh and Bayern fans before the real soccer begins.
