Florida Soccer Soldiers march to another big UPSL win

The UPSL fall season is in full swing and the fixture computer finally threw up an all-Miami clash on a Saturday evening. Florida Soccer Soldiers faced Union Deportivo Miami at the Orange Bowl Field at Ives Estates Park.

The Soccer Soldiers are the in-form team in Miami right now and it was no surprise that they took all three points with an 8-1 scoreline. It’s a result that keeps them on pace with the other unbeaten team in the division, Miami Sun FC. The match-up was very open and attacking. UD Miami showed they can play some good soccer, the goal they scored was the first the Soccer Soldiers had conceded in the fall season.

There was a monsoon in the second half but the quality of the soccer on offer didn’t really drop at all.

You can catch UPSL games up at Ives Estates Park every weekend this month. Check the UPSL website for a full fixture list. Games are free to attend.

In addition to UPSL action the Florida Soccer Soldiers will be aiming to keep this winning streak going when they face Hurricane FC in qualifying for the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. That game is set for 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 18 at Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray Beach. Magic City Soccer will be there to keep you updated.
